Yes these two are still making us laugh! They have been the best of friends all of their life. There isnt anything that these two wouldnt do for each other. They always worry about the other when they are sick. They always look out for the other. Sometimes Sydnies on her own agenda but you can be sure that Chloe might just remind her what she should be doing.

This year they are in the same class. Can you believe that? Fourth grade and never been in class together! Now let me remind you we never knew how this would go but we have had honestly no problems at all. (that is withSydnie either loving her too much or pestering her lol) All the kids desks sit in 3-4's well here ya go....through out the year they are moved from place to place so they can get to know each other. They didnt start out at the same place but oh my they are in the same group! yikes! Guess what? No problems. Sydnie is growing up on me. Now let me just tell you how much she loves her best friend but thank goodness she knows just how much to love her at the appropriate times. lol As you can tell this blog is just to get back in the swing of things.....so its really not about anything in particular....but could be used as a reminder that our kids dont have to be set a part, excluded or anything of the sort. Sydnie is in regular 4th grade with the same spelling words as her class just a few less....math that fits her...and reading like everyone else (whats appropriate for them. But dang it that girl can do some reading!). I have never regretted my decision to keep her fully included (yes with a little resource time but how many more are in and out of class for various things? Plenty.) We are blessed!!!

Cute story one of Sydnies other besties (also at the table of 4 lol) was watching the Jamie Foxx special the other night and learned that his sister had Ds and that she lived with him. Emma asked her mom why. Her mom Sarah explained that sometimes people with Ds live with their parents or other family members and she said well Sydnie can live with me....I'm going to be a vet and will make plenty of money for both of us. Aww how precious is that? You know what....it doesnt matter to me what living arrangements Sydnie makes when she's older as long as she is happy.....whether its with me, a friend, alone or with her husband. No I dont limit her to anything.....the sky is the limit with my girl!
She gave a harrummphhh and said "I WISH I HAD DS...ITS THE BEST!" .....why yes ...yes it is!
I just giggled to myself....isnt it amazing how we dont see Ds as something wrong....just another part of our lives.....our normal lives.....Thank you God for my blessings!
Now thats some news! The Buddy Walk was awesome! 116 teams and over $125,000 was raised! We had a great time! The kids ran and played in the bouncy houses etc...made crafts....danced and sang and lets not forget the walk around the pond! It was a beautiful (hot) day! We had lots of friends and family come out and join us....smaller group than we usually have due to ballgames and stuff going on on Saturdays...they are just at that age. We had a great time in spite of missing them being there! I want to thank each and every one of you for coming out and supporting Sydnie's Soldiers!
So here I sit eating a biscuit with Apple Butter and drinking a Mtn Dew. Something seriously wrong with this picture. So much to do and well Im sitting here....blogging, or trying to :)
Yesterday was cheerleading for both girls. No stunts for Saylor so there were no tears and for Sydnie...well she is such a Diva. She does her thing with as much ooomph as she can put in to it! She is a riot on stage! Both of the girls are gearing up for their competition season....so hopefully I can keep you up to date on all that.

Today a Black Hawk Helicopter landed at school...made me think back to Sydnie's flag being flown in an Apache over in Iraq that was amazing! I will have to see if I can get the video on here that I made of all that. Stay tuned and maybe I can share some of the crazy antics from around here.Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-31666428706966668172010-10-05T13:27:00.002-04:002010-10-05T13:34:23.383-04:00Wow I cant believe its been so long since Ive blogged. I think about it often but realize Im not very good at it. All the gadgets and widgets...how is all of that done? lol

To update you a little...boy are the girls really growing up. Sydnie is in 4th grade! Can you believe it? She is having an amazing year! They tell me all the time how well she is doing! Thats my girl!!! Saylor is in 1st...whew doesnt seem real. So proud of her! They both love school, their teachers and their friends! We all work diligently on homework in the evenings and manage to get their cheerleading in which seems to consume our world....most of the time. They are very busy girls and live life to the fullest! Isnt that what its all about?

Hopefully I can check in and learn all the ins and outs of all the 'purty stuff' on here. I really have great intentions to let you know whats going on....Facebook just doesnt have the room of all I want to say sometimes. lol

Any blog tutors out there? Im up for it!Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-47921882954033078662009-05-02T12:49:00.004-04:002009-05-02T13:06:21.918-04:00SPECIAL OLYMPICS

We just participated in our first Special Olympics.....we had always gone for a few hours walking around etc....but this year she was old enough to be an athlete! We tried so hard for another child and this was finally it for our family and Sydnie was so very excited to have a baby sister. I knew we had it all.....Two little girls to keep us so incredibly busy. That was 5 years ago. As the day approached I could not believe you were turning 5. FIVE! Everything changes when you turn 5 you know.....:) It suddenly became the magic number to wipe 'your own poop' like she just told me 5 seconds ago.... "I wiped my own poop mom...cause Im a big girl!" Priceless!
Ok she just stopped by to tell me she did everything! As she counted the things on her fingers...I had to smile at myself...
"I wiped my own poop. I flushed. Washed my hands with soap....wiped (dried Im assuming) and cut the light off....cause thats what big girls do." (Truly this is a big deal....all the lights get left on in this house..I constantly have to turn them off)
Ok back to my story.......there have been so many things she has said or done that makes me laugh....so many words she uses that makes me wonder where she comes up with this stuff.....She is so very smart....so very funny....so so very strong willed! I dont know who she gets that all from but they should be beat down LOL You look at her and you see me ....its almost scary at what I will endure in the near future. However I must say she is getting so much better with her 'manners' and she reminds me its good manners....so she's learning haha.....
I know that next year will be hard on ol' mom ...even though she is in all day PreK....something about Kindergarten just throws you off.... FIVE! I just cant believe it...my baby girl turned 5!

Saylor I just want you to know how proud I am of you. How happy it makes me to see you smile when you're with your friends ...running and playing at school....how you have found your own way and are truly your own little person! I would never want you to lose your determination (maybe just redirect it at times) because thats what will take you FAR. I love you til the end of the earth....Happy Birthday Tink!

Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-58487164732500320352009-04-22T16:26:00.002-04:002009-04-22T16:42:39.425-04:00Some thngs you dont understandYou know there comes times in your life that things happen and you dont understand. There are things that happen and you feel its out of your hands. You try desperately to find ways to fix it but you're not heard. You often feel like you are the only one that sees things clearly and on the other hand you feel like every one sees whats going on but no one knows what to do. There are days you stay all drawn up with anxiety and know this isnt the way it should be every day. Things should go a long smoothly with minimal bumps in the road....but no one said life was easy. Why do these things consume me? Why cant things go through out the day like they should...with things being learned and taught and battles picked.
You start out with your life changing and you have made things in to a world you never expected.....something so much better than you ever thought.....then you run in to a wall over and over again. You try so hard to get around that wall but you seem to only peep through the cracks....you can see the light but cant break the wall down. So you pray! You pray that God will show you the way...guide you in the right direction....and KNOW that he has things in the palm of his hand. God knew this perfect being before you ever layed eyes on such a gift. He will take care of things....cast your fears on HIM.Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-63573149735168788492009-04-10T11:17:00.003-04:002009-04-10T11:22:42.182-04:00My All Star StudentSydnie got two awards at school today...All Star Student....thats right yes she did...hold the applause please...okok....you dont have to....go for it...show your appreciation for a job well done!!! :) She also received a reading points award! Not really a party, just some cupcakes and stuff at lunch and then you're Egg Hunt....oh cool!......so off she goes with her basket......

Both the girls were really excited about carrying their baskets to school even though Saylor liked Syds better it was pink....so I told her maybe we could find her one (the little plastic ones at Walmart...didnt want to send the baskets we use at Easter that their great grandmother made for them)

So off I go back to the school for lunch, cupcakes, candy and yes both Easter Egg Hunts! Then...
SPRING BREAK! THANK YOU JESUS!Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-75347617359270583812009-04-09T17:36:00.003-04:002009-04-09T17:38:50.102-04:00The things they say.....Conversation this morning...

Saylor: Mom did God make the cows?
Mom: Yes He did.
Saylor: Horses?
Mom: Yes He made all the animals?
Saylor: Pigs? Umm no..it seems that so many things have come up ...OH MY GOSH....SYDNIE NEEDS WHITE SHOES!!!! Ok I guess I need to think more about this shopping thing than I realized....Ive got some of their things for their baskets but not what I need....ughhhhh This week has been really busy from day to day ...different things every day. Tomorrow is Easter snacks at school and some Easter egg hunts for both the girls....I'll be there all afternoon most likely...eating lunch..hiding eggs...looking for them and taking pics...yay it should be fun!

Some of you are prob wondering how school is going....its going ok...Sydnie is being herself....working hard....and doing things that doesnt necessarily exhibit perfect behavior. We all know how that goes...! I talk to her every day about being good, listening to her teachers, keeping her hands and feet to herself....no matter how minor things are...I just dont want there to be a note when she gets home. She had a good day will be sufficient. Especially with no major incidents. She is disappointed when I talk to her about things that happen at school and I explained to her that it is not entirely her fault and that we just needed to contain her thoughts and actions lol....She tells me she's sorry....God love her soul! I am proud of all she accomplishes!!! YOU GO GIRL!

Well Tball practice is tonight.....yay at least its warm...woohooooo

Last but not least.....Sydnie is officially starting practice on April 21 for the first Special Needs Competition Cheerleading team in the county!!! She has been tumbling for a year and finally have 4 members to start out with and I am confident that it will grow in to an Awesome Team!
Pictures will follow....you know that! :)

Until next time..........Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-82628482929585496902009-03-29T14:10:00.002-04:002009-03-29T14:15:25.037-04:00Thank you Jesus the sun is shining! Its a little chilly today but thank goodness the sun is shining...only to be followed by another rainy front...*sigh*
Not a whole lot to say today...we're getting ready to head out to a birthday party...at our friends across the street. Darin is picking up ball equipment for the girls tball team...and we need to call the kids on our team today. I think I will leave that to Darin ...I have quite a bit going on haha
Speaking of bdays I talked to the girls to see if they would like to have their bday parties together and they both said yes....ok...hmm what kind do you want to have.....CAMP ROCK! CINDERELLA! Ooook so Im thinking this will be a hard one....I've got to come up with a way to give them both what they want and stillll have them together ...can I pull this off and still get the pictures I want to have? I guess I'll need to rope some friends in to doing that for me huh?
Alright just wanted to check in...I need to get the girls dressed and get the present ready....woohooo
Hey Kass....we're on our way! Happy Birthday Girl!Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-80973980484773644622009-03-23T20:08:00.002-04:002009-03-23T20:13:03.024-04:00Saylor keeps me thinking....She has been drawing and making cards this evening...one for me and one for daddy. Sweet little cards....her and Sydnie are being so good in the living room being creative....well Saylor walks over to me and asks if when she goes to Heaven could she take Jesus a card...I said sure you can....she said I really wish I could go but you want me to stay here a little longer (past conversation that just about cause me to stroke out). I told her yes I do...and she said but i really want to go to heaven.....mommy how did he get that red stuff in us? Well....Im not sure but he's really smart......yeah mom some of that stuff is ketchup (happen to catch a minute of HOUSE I had to come up with something lol) thats red....and apples are red and blood is red....whew by this time my head is spinning but inside Im giggling that she comes up with this stuff LOL

I am thankful the girls are getting along this evening.Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-43244648329065050022009-03-23T12:35:00.003-04:002009-03-23T12:49:25.837-04:00The sun is shining!Hey folks....the sun is shining today and its suppose to be almost 70. That is awesome! I am so ready for warm weather.

The consignment sale this past weekend was a huge success! The girls got lots of goodies and we made some money while we were at it.....the Childrens Ministry made a lot of money for kids camp....we are so proud! You know those consignment sales are a lot of work but so worth it in the end. People love coming out and getting a deal on their kids clothes and making a little cash!

Sydnie had an awesome day on Friday.....5/5 in all of her classes...You go girl! I dont know if you read where they had changed up things a little but there is a sheet that goes with Syd to each of her classes and the teacher fills it out...'was she respectful to her peers', 'her teacher', 'did she stay on task' (this one is sometimes hard but we all know how that is), 'follows directions' etc.....she had a Perfect day....I was sooo excited when I got her sheet and we made such a big deal out of it.

Spelling words this week are some tough ones....bless her soul...haha....this weekend was sooo busy we didnt get to start on them so we'll drill for the next couple of days to get her ready for her practice test on Wed and then drill some more until Fri....say a prayer for her little brain :)
Her hands are looking a lot better.....they were peeling off.....it was crazy! I started reading up on it and it looks like to me it may have been from her Strep...I have never heard of this....we're keeping them lotioned up and they are looking better......trust me this isnt just dry hands.....Im talking scaling off :)

Saylor is more determined than ever....she is going to be something else....she can be sooo sweet but can back talk like you've never seen a 4 yr old do. haha....we had a little heart to heart yesterday but Im thinking she doesnt much care. Im hoping she'll grow out of this mouthy stage before she hits some teen years.....or better yet by the time she is 5. She's a mess!

One more consignment sale to go ...this one Im just participating in.....but I'll be gone all day on Friday....I'll drop stuff off on Thurs evening, then shop at 2 on Friday.....that'll take a few hrs ...then we'll run and get a bite to eat then be back by 6 to work until 9....the things we do to clothe our kids hahahaaa ok yes consignments are just plain addicting!Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-89625665347500330012009-03-19T15:57:00.002-04:002009-03-19T16:11:48.610-04:00Positive ThoughtsI just wanted to check in today....Sydnie and Saylor have had a good week at school.....its been warming up which is always nice.

I just wanted to clarify to anyone that may have read my blog ....
Sydnie's Asst has been a wonderful person to her. My past blogs have been concerning the situation....the notes in her planner etc and my not understanding the meaning of each one or how to handle that with Sydnie and what battles to choose.
Her asst really cares about Sydnie and wants whats best for her. She goes the extra mile to do things FOR Sydnie. She buys things she knows she likes whether it be High School Musical or Hannah Montana. At the end of school last year....she put all these things together ...worksheets and things we could work on over the summer and it was awesome!!! I didnt want any one to think.... which I believe only a handful of out of towners have read this :) ....that it was anything personal with the asst. Ive known her for years and she is a wonderful person and loves Syd very much and that I appreciate!Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-57220068304431822992009-03-15T13:58:00.003-04:002009-03-19T16:13:01.564-04:00We have certainly had a busy week. My mother in law was able to come home from the hosp and her heart is dong well. However her back is still giving her a fit ...they will of course put off another back surgery. Mom tells me she is feeling better from her Shingles and it appears she is over the breaking out...yay! Darins cousin Kyle was able to come home but is somewhat confused and has some memory loss. We are praying that he completely recovers from all of this. They have arrested one guy who is responsible and has charged him with assault inflicting serious injury with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Thats great huh? People are crazy! www.caringbridge.com/visit/kylesigmon.Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-19628269331799193462009-03-08T17:02:00.003-04:002009-03-08T17:12:23.098-04:00A lot going on this weekend

The girls are well....no more sickness in the house....yay!
However it extends to our family....my mother in law has a heart attack Thurs night and Praise God she is doing well....they replaced a stent and she should be coming home today or tomorrow....I talk to my mom on Friday....my stepdad had a heart cath and that turned out well..no probs....my mom however has Shingles and is in a lot of pain...that stuff must be the devil! Sydnie was in a fashion show on Saturday...showing off a beautiful brown dress from Bedazzle...thanks Raj! After grabbing some lunch and preparing to go visit my mother in law... we discover that my husbands cousin has been beat on Friday night early hrs of Sat.....and is at the same hosp.......It appears that he was jumped by 4 guys but supposedly only 2 are completely involved. They have removed all of his tubes today and is slowly letting him wake up....he is not speaking but is nodding and giving the ok sign that he understands what they are saying to him. He has staples in the back of his head....the dr said he has had a major blow to the head and that he will most likely have to learn some things all over again. Please keep him in your prayers.
Still planning on our IEP on Wednesday....please pray that we get this over with and everyone stays well to have this meeting behind us!
Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-38985135760431680442009-03-03T19:23:00.003-05:002009-03-03T19:56:27.041-05:00Well we had another day off from school due to snow.....Im assuming we'll be making up yesterday on Memorial Day....ughhh I hate that! Tomorrow we are on a 2 hr delay and had an IEP meeting scheduled....how wonderful is that? So we're planning to reschedule that...
Took Syd to the doctor today cause her throat looked horrible....bless her never complained except for an occational headache. I was getting her dressed for the doctor when I noticed her chest completely covered in a rash.....if I didnt know she had Strep before I knew it then......sooooooo he offered us the shot vs the meds for a week..woohoooo
She hasnt ever had the shot but I got it the last time I got strep...wasnt sure how it would go getting her on her stomach for such a momentus occation......after calm conversation and assuring her I was only doing this because I knew it would make her feel better .....she continued to be reluctant....so with a 1, 2, 3.....I got her flipped over on the bed...with her looking back at them.....I kept saying Syd look at mama...syd....with that.....she gave me 3 good pops in the jaw LOLOL......a few times when she's been really nervous or held...she has thrown a fist to the back....but at least she takes each thing with good stride....lol...never to hurt me. She immed apologized to me and thanked them for her shot! She said ouch....but that was it....what a trooper! So my girl should be feeling better soon....
Saylor was having a grand ol time helping file charts or whatever they had her doing up front...haha...Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-68904877168234615512009-03-03T09:44:00.001-05:002009-03-03T09:44:57.853-05:00March 31, 2009

PLEASE NOTE: Thank you for your interest in spreading the word. Sydnie is in regular 2nd grade and is doing really well.....she has grown up so much. She is currently taking tumbling......she will be participating in her first Special Olympics this Spring. We are all very excited about that!

Saylor is in the 4 yr old preschool at the same school as Sydnie. She absolutely loves it....she goes all day which was a change from her half day...(or so I thought) but she has never skipped a beat. All I hear is when will I be big like Sydnie...dont rush it Say Say it will be here before you know it! Saylor is also taking tumbling and loves it very much!Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-78118577253994963232008-07-30T20:38:00.003-04:002008-07-30T20:44:48.764-04:00Summer TimeWell here we are over half way in to summer....where has the time gone? We've enjoyed being home and hanging out together. The girls have started tumbling and love it...Syd I believe just might be ready to go back to school but boy Im not ready! Saylor will be starting the preschool program at the same school and she is sooo excited. The reality of her being there all day is becoming all to real....Im sure she will do just fine because all Ive heard is I want to go to SYDNIE'S SCHOOL!!! So say a little prayer that this year will go well for both girls.Angiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-48809232218413925662008-01-19T19:56:00.000-05:002008-01-19T20:07:04.070-05:00Finding TimeI am really excited about having somewhere to blog and have a website for the girls all at the same time...its just getting this thing built. Let me see if I can fill you in a bit.

Things here are craaaaazy....we are so busy! Let's start with school...Sydnie is doing great in school...she is working really hard and has really changed since the beginning of school...all for the better. Let me go back for those of you that dont know (since I feel like Im starting a webpage all over again :( Sydnie is in regular 1st grade....right now she has 2 hrs pull out during the day but her work isnt modified at this time...she's doing what everybody else is doing...yay her!!!!
Sydnie is doing some amazing cart wheels! She has been taking dance and gymnastics going on 4 years and FINALLY yes FINALLY her cart wheels look like cart wheels!!! :) I can tell my girl is getting stronger! Last year she recieved Most Improved Ballet.

Now on to Saylor...she is in preschool and has informed us that a little boy named Cameron said she was his girlfriend....ok from my last post...she wanted to quit school...she doesnt anymore thank goodness. No no not because of Cameron I think she realized she could not get a good job if she quit preschool. Ok...so Saylor has a boyfriend? We shall see about that! haha.....
Need to share something she came in and said to me about two weeks ago...that I have been meaning to put down somewhere.....the girls were out playing and when they came in ....Saylor begins to tell me of the hoptocopto they saw outside. I got tickled and said the what....she said the HOPTOCOPTOR!....I said oh no! Needless to say Im still saying that today....
Saylor comes up with things that would blow your mind and make you look plain stupid. Where does she get that from? mhhmmmmmmmAngiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4179351677392497027.post-2162282850197146252007-11-28T13:37:00.000-05:002007-11-28T13:39:25.141-05:00Hello hello hello.....starting something new here......appears its time to evolve into a different type of website for the girls....so hopefully this is exactly what we're looking for.
Things around here have been extremely busy. Sydnie is doing great in school and Saylor has decided she's going to quit. Ive tried to tell her that dropping out of preschool wasnt a cool thing to do. She wont hear it! So lets pray that I dont have a preschool dropout...how discouraging would that be? LOLAngiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10651854927797470334noreply@blogger.com0
